service near Akron, Ohio, please click here: Akron Canton Airport The Akron Fulton Airport was dedicated in 1929 and has a long and
storied history. Home to the original Goodyear Airdock where the first lighter than
airships were built, the airport also is home to the All American Soap Box Derby, the
Akron Rubber Bowl, and is within five miles of the world renown Firestone Country Club and
within four miles of the City of Akron's central business district. 
The airport is staffed from 6:00 A.M. until midnight, seven
days a week and offers first class F.B.O. services
including fuel, passenger and pilot lobbies, car rental, catering, aircraft repair and
avionics service, flight training, aircraft rental and charter, and pilot supplies.
