ED goes beyond the call of duty in some areas that are not publicly seen or known. On his own time ED assists elderly residents at the Mayflower Manor by regularly visiting them, delivering groceries, and preparing meals on holidays. On certain occasions Officer Latchaw has been known to provide the less fortunate with clothing as well. ED also devotes much of his time coaching Akron area youths in a variety of activities.

ED is efficient, competent and extremely organized in every task he performs. He enjoys being an Akron Police Officer and he is a credit to his unit and the City of Akron.
