DWIGHT VANVORST began his career with the City of Akron on May 7, 2001 as a Seasonal
Laborer at Good Park golf course. On April 14, 2003, he was promoted to his present
position of Maintenance Worker I.
DWIGHT and his wife, Susan have been married three years and live on the west side. He
has an 11 year old stepson, Marcus and a dog, Putter. Dwight enjoys spending time with his
family, hiking and of course playing golf.
DWIGHT is responsible for the maintenance operations at Mud Run Golf course. This
summer he did an incredible job keeping the course playable despite the immense rain and
at times poor weather conditions.
DWIGHT is a reliable, dedicated individual who gives much more than is required of
himself to his job. He assumes responsibility well and tackles his assignments with
enthusiasm. His devotion and willingness to help in any and all situations are just a few
of the reasons he is an outstanding employee.
