Ward 5

Ward 5 is one of the longest and most diverse wards in the city stretching from Exeter Rd. on its southern boundary all the way up near Cascade Valley Park North. This ward includes parts of multiple neighborhoods including East Akron, University Park, Middlebury, North Hill, and Cascade Valley. Ward 5 boasts multiple parks including Joy Park, Mason Park, and Grace Park. It's also home to Summa Health System's Akron campus and the Stark State Akron campus. You can grab something to eat at Akron's beloved Luigi's restaurant and do some shopping at the Northside Marketplace. Or check out a local landmark at the First Presbyterian Church located on E. Market St, which now houses the non-profit organization The Well CDC and their inviting café, Compass Coffee.
