Akron’s relatively low-priced existing housing, growth in newly developed housing, and 15-year residential tax abatement program make Akron an attractive place to build/buy and renovate a home. In addition to working on large scale development projects, the City also has a few avenues to sell homes and buildable lots directly to residents.

The Urban Neighborhood Development Corporation builds & sells homes to revitalize the central city. Each new home features at least 3 bedrooms, 1-1/2 baths, a living room, family room, and a 2-car garage.
