Winter Activities
Rentals for the six heated igloos are available on Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays through the winter season.
Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 6:00-8:30 pm
Saturdays: 2:00 – 10:30 pm
Sundays: 2:00 – 5:30 pm

Igloos $50 for 2 hours per Igloo
Igloos include a round table, 8 wooden chairs, heater and lighting. Bring your own food (downtown restaurant list) or check out our menu. Outside alcohol is not permitted unless from a Downtown DORA establishment or Lock 3 (LockStop Cafe). Each igloo must be rented as a whole and can hold a maximum of 8 people.
- Make reservations online or in person.
- No phone reservations accepted.
- Reservations cannot be changed and are non-refundable.
- Igloos are cleaned and sanitized before use.
Fire Pits
Firepits are available on Friday nights and Saturday nights through the winter season.
Friday and Saturdays 5:00-10:30 pm

- Lock 3 staff will build and maintain fire pit.

Shuffleboard Courts
Enjoy our new indoor regulation courts. Court area includes table and chairs, large screen TV, pool table and foosball table. Beer, sodas and food available for purchase. Menu options.
$20 for one court for an hour, $30 for 2 courts for an hour, or $50 for whole room- both courts for two hours.

Polar Putt-Putt
Enjoy our 9-hole outdoor course. Only $3 or add on to your skate rental for an additional $1.
Archie The Talking Snowman is Back!
Archie the Snowman will make is return on November 24th at Lock 3! He is looking forward to talking to all his old friends and making new ones this season! Visit him outside at Lock 3 Akron.
He is free to visit, you can see him anytime Lock 3 is open, his talking times are as follows until December 31st.

Come see our collection of vintage animated displays, from the 1950’s through the 1980’s. Window displays use to be vital to marketing the holidays for businesses Downtown. Displays were destroyed at the end of the season, some were saved (usually by employees) and the largest part of collection was saved due to budget cuts by O’Neil's Department Store. Our next step will be restoration and preservation of these treasures…stay tuned! The displays are at Lock 3 (across from the ice rink and inside behind Archie the Snowman). Lock 3 is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, see ice rink hours. Displays are free to enjoy! HAPPY HOLIDAYS! For more holiday magic visit Summit Historical Society.

We are located right off Main Street in the Heart of Downtown Akron. Your group/party will enjoy two-hours complete with skate rental and putt-putt, (shuffleboard included with Private Room party). Please reserve your time slots for bumper cars on the web site at Lock3live.com. Please review the guidelines on the form and reach out with any questions. We hope that you will choose to celebrate with us.
Reservations are first come, first serve ---so don’t wait!

Large Groups
- 20 or more. During public skate hours. Call ahead and get $1 off skate rental.
- You must give at least 24 hours notification to get the large group skate discount.
- In order to guarantee that the kitchen is supplied and staffed, please give 24 hours notification if your group plans on eating at our concessions.
Private Rentals
- Not Available during public skate hours.
- $225 for 2 hours, price includes skate rental.
- Can request concessions open–not included in the cost.
